With the official release of B13 – Ultimatum now complete we have decided to bring our behind the scenes look at the film to an end with this final featurette. Yesterday we posted a David Belle focused behind the scenes look at the recently released blockbuster B13 – Ultimatum. The video below is the compliment to that video; a behind the scenes look at the film focused around David’s co-star Cyril Raffaelli.

More of a fighter than a runner when compared to David, Cyril added a dynamic to the film that made him a perfect co-star to David. The differences between the two actor’s styles are shown incredibly well when this video is contrasted with the previous video. Banlieue 13 – Chase Sequence #2

All the excitement over B13 – Ultimatum got us thinking about the first Banlieue 13 released in 2004. We went through our archives and quickly realized that we only had one of the two main chase scenes in the film in our MisterParkour.com library! So, without any further ado, here is the highly underrated and underappreciated second chase scene from Banlieue 13 featuring David Belle and Cyril Raffaelli. This sequence, although relatively simpler than the most famous sequence of the film (seen here), is as good as, if not better in some ways than, its predecessor. Although the talent and magnitude of the performance of the scene can only be fully appreciated upon multiple viewings in slow motion, David displays a raw athleticism in his jumps and movements that make this scene breathtaking and inspiring. Featuring some classic moves from Cyril as well, this scene was a fantastic way to bring Banlieue 13 to its cinematic climax.

The date is finally set! February 18, 2009 will be the official release date of B13 – Ultimatum. As the sequel to the David Belle starring Banlieue 13, B13 – Ultimatum is already the most anticipated Parkour featuring film in history. Included below is the film’s first released trailer, and if it reveals anything about the movie it clearly exhibits the fact that this sequel is going to be full of even more thrilling action than its predecessor. With building leveling explosions, breathtaking choreography, eye popping acrobatics, nail biting chase scenes, and of course David Belle, B13 – Ultimatum is sure to be one of the most exciting films of year. We think it will be deserving of much more prestigious accolades but only time will tell in that regard. For now we hope that this teaser and our previously featured behind the scenes episodes will be enough to tide you over for the two arduous months until its European release.
