Since we posted a movie clip of Sebastien Foucan it only makes sense to post a movie clip of David Belle. This clip is taken from David’s U.S. movie debut Banlieue 13 (District B13 in English). If you have not seen this move it is well worth watching. Released in the U.S. almost two years after its French release, District B13 was shown in select theaters (only one of which was in Oregon), and with minimal publicity the film still grossed more than a millions dollars in the U.S. box office. This was in large part due to the impressive action courtesy of the athleticism of David and his Co-Star Cryil Raffaelli among others. Reports said that 90% of the stunts were performed without wires, and if you have watched enough videos featuring David you will recognize scenery from Evry, France.

Although a shorter version of this trailer appeared on televisions across the United States, we did not consider this commercial for a spot in the countdown because as a movie trailer the production for this advertisement was fundamentally different than the others. With that said, this trailer/commercial (or rather the shorter version thereof) did an excellent job of creating excitement for the movie which grossed just about $1.2 million in the U.S. box office under a very limited release.
