#5 Commercial: Canon
Posted by misterparkour on July 3, 2008We are down to the top five commercials in our Top 10 Parkour Commercial Countdown. Each of these commercials is in the top five because it is qualitatively different than every other Parkour-featuring commercial ever made. A combination of everything including the Parkour action, the product utilization, the production value, and the Tracer’s featured are all noticeable steps above every other Parkour ad made to date. In addition, these top five commercials are so ingeniously produced that we guarantee you’ll have a hard time watching them only once.
Coming in at a well deserved #5 spot is this fast paced Korean ad for Canon. Featuring eye popping Parkour from David Belle, an additional aspect that separated this commercial from others was its product utilization. Better than any Parkour-featuring commercial before or since, this Canon ad prominently featured Parkour, and was able, unlike most other Parkour-featuring commercials, to intertwine the action so as not to detract from the product being advertised.
Almost impossible to watch only once, this commercial is a rare combination of a producer’s talent exercised in perfect unity with the athletic abilities of David in order demonstrate the capabilities of a product.
